Basically, I gave each student a boy or girl face, blank speech bubble and bully or buddy card. I stapled a "Bully or Buddy?" card on top of the other card so viewers of our board could lift the flap to discover the answer. Based on the card they received, students then wrote dialogue to go in the speech bubble. {We did rough copies first of course.}
We glued the face, speech bubble and question flap onto construction paper as you can see in my model below:
Notice on the bulletin board, the paper is the other way. My first finisher held his paper horizontally. I was about to remind him to follow directions, when I realized I liked it better that way. Happy mistake!
